TOCINO is a traditional cured meat. The word “tocino” was derived from the Spanish word meaning “bacon”.  But contrary to its name, Filipino tocino is not exactly bacon at all. Rather, they’re thinly sliced pieces of pork that’s traditionally cured and marinated in a mixture of spices and sauces, its commonly sweet taste and typically served ad breakfast alongside with fried rice and egg.
